Refine basic skills, improve conditioning, learn new techniques! The program will focus on getting swimmers ready for the LA County Junior Lifeguard Swim Test. This will be a good opportunity to establish their base time and perfect techniques to get them FASTER! We’ll work specifically on starts, turns and finishes, while tracking progress over the course of the program.

Participants must be at least 9 years of age and possess basic swimming skills.

This is not a learn to swim class. Please inquire about lessons if your child isn’t ready.

Bring a towel, goggles and swim cap for long hair.

Assessments will be held on January 4th at 3:00pm

Swimmers MUST ATTEND the assessment to be placed in the correct group.

Groups meet Mondays and Wednesdays for 45 minutes at 6, 6:45, 7:30 and 8:15 depending on base time and skill level.

The program runs January 5/7/12/14/19/21/26/28

February 2/4/9/11/16/18/23/25

March 2/4/9/11/16/18/23/25

With makeup classes March 30 and April 1.

Cost of the program is $900 ($300 per month/$37 per class)

There are NO ADDITIONAL MAKEUP CLASSES and there are NO REFUNDS after your registration is confirmed.

**TIME REQUIREMENTS **

100 yard swim test:

1:50 for 9-11 year olds – C Group

1:40 for 12-13 year olds – B Group

1:30 for 14-17 year olds – A Group
